Astrology Background

The principle of Astrology is quite simple; it says that humans live in a Universe where things affect them, and these affacts show up in all aspects of a persons life: how they think, feel, do, their strengths and weaknesses, their job and professional inclinations, relationships and so on.

Humans are a part of something greater than themselves, and that greater thing influences them both on a physical and a subtle-energy level all the time. So it can be seen for example how winter is colder and a person is colder because there is less sunshine; which is a physical result... but similarly, how a person thinks is just as much influenced by the Universe.

Astrology works by a combination of subtle-energy influences and printings.

The Universe is full of energies of many kinds emanating out from many sources - planets, stars, galaxies, the devine.

These energy influences are happening all the time, changing all the time, moving on all the time; the planets are moving across the heavens radiating out their particular influences, and their combinations and relationships to each other and to the stars governs some of what is washing across our planet at any given moment.

Where the printing aspect comes in is that when someone is born and becomes a separate life from their mother at last, at that moment they become printed by the energy influences that are washing across that particular spot on the planet at that time.

A print is made inside a person of that unique moment when they become an individual, which will influence them for the rest of their life.

The universe and the energy influences move on but the photograph of that birth moment remains frozen in time in the person. This print is what is called the Natal or Birth Chart.

A person's natal chart represents a framework for their life that they work within. However, their framework is not a prison fixed forever because a person can develop above their chart, human's do have free-will and can choose to change their negative features and cultivate their positive aspects. However, people do need to start with the framework and work with it to go beyond it.

This is why an astrology chart is so useful, it can help someone to understand themselves by which they can then manage and change their live more easily.

The fact of human life is that the design of the species is not fixed as to how people are... they can develop or degenerate, the choice is theirs. It is a key feature of being human, however, to seek to develop and improve, although this is often translated into developing their surrounding circumstance rather than developing themselves as a person.
